From the moment you were born, you were dependent on others.

It began with your parents or carers. Whoever was responsible for your daily care and upbringing left an indelible impression.

Everything you learned was stored in your subconscious, ready to 'pop up' for reference or confirmation—and not always in a good way. Our deepest fears and beliefs lie dormant, sometimes for decades, before manifesting in various ways, such as excess weight.


THEN YOU GREW UP


Fast-forward 20 years, and as you enter the world of relationships, your earlier upbringing and environments will be the only guidelines you have.

Then, if you become part of a couple, get married, or have kids, you might introduce different ways of thinking based on those experiences, further education, and your environment.

Yet, a worldview' that determines how you see, feel, and perceive the world around you is always present..


WORLDVIEWS THAT IMPACT


Some of these worldviews are common, depending on where and how you were raised. Here's a handful that I've noticed in clients. (They may not make sense consciously.)

** I can never get what I want.

** After you have kids/reach menopause/get to 40/50, you will put on weight and never be able to get rid of it. It's how it is.

** The Universe/God/Source is against me.....(I will never get what I want)

**There are the haves and haves not's.I will always be a have not.

** I don't believe anyone can really love me (including my husband) cos I'm so overweight.

** Unless I work hard for something, it won't happen; if it does, it's a fluke.

So, if you live with one of those deeper, core beliefs about the world, is it any wonder that you have a problem losing weight and keeping it off?


BECOMING SOVEREIGN


Until you become sovereign over your mind, body and emotions, weight loss will always be a struggle because in the 'back of your mind', no matter how much weight you lose, you don't feel 'deserving' and create your own self-fulfilling 'prophecy', which sabotages you every time.

Interesting side note: I worked with a client who lost weight quickly on Keto, but because it happened easily for her, she was always waiting for the 'other shoe to drop' because she didn't feel she 'earned' it.


FROM THE INSIDE OUT


The only way out of this (for the long term) is from the inside out.

By 'inside out,' I mean that change needs to happen neurologically, where it all began, and where your old beliefs, habits, and patterns play out in a repeat cycle all day, every day. (You did what you did with what you knew at the time, that's all; you didn't do anything 'wrong'.)

The brilliant part is that once you become aware, you can transcend that (sensation of) powerlessness you often feel in your body and step into something more aligned. Now, it becomes exciting. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This programme is like a fast-pass to Sovereignty, where you become the meaning maker and creator of your own life rather than feel like the little silver ball in the pinball machine with no say in where that flipper will send you.


THE DIFFERENCE that makes the difference


The difference between how we work at the 'U' and how regular coaching works is that we don't focus on surface issues or try to fix situations that don't need 'fixing'. We go so much deeper so that shifts are permanent, and YOU make them from choice.

I can show you the gateway to change, but you need to lift the latch and walk through it, and that is perfectly fine because, by the time we get there, you will be so ready for something different that leads you toward what you WANT and away from what no longer fits your newfound image.

Food has become a crutch, a friend, a comforter, and something to do when you are bored, lonely or hurt. It almost happened without you noticing. (mindless eating anyone?)

It was never meant to happen. You didn't plan it and have no idea how it all started, or maybe you do.

What I do is help you unravel all those threads that combined to create this life you're now living, which doesn't come close to the life you want to live and know you are ready for.

Yes, on the outside, it all looks hunky dory, and you're great at putting on a happy face, but it's those things that, on the inside, work against you because constant stress (which is what it is) never has a good outcome.

The cost of not changing, not just your weight but also your health and wellness, your sense of peace and joy, and your ability to completely relax, is far greater than anything it will cost you to change at a core level.
